I have just talked to my CGA lecturer about one of my assessment, apparently he wants to charge me under plagiarism because I copied 80% of last year's workshop solution for my in-class case study. I don't understand why he wants to do that because at the beginning he was the one who said open book test, which means I can bring in anything I want and copy anything I want to.
I have sat for a few exams for this degree and when they said it's open book, I would copy everything from words to words in the final exams as I don't have much time to paraphrase everything. He didn't give me any chance to explain to him in the office as he wants me to write a formal letter and explain everything to him. He wants me to give him a strong and valid reason on why did I do it.
He gave me three outcomes that might happen:
- He will report to the university and I will get suspended because I have already blacklisted for plagiarism when I was doing my degree in Mass Communication.
- He will fail my CGA unit this semester and I have to do it again next year.
- He will only fail my in-class case study assessment if I can provide a solid reason.
Seriously, I am getting sick of university life. Especially when I have to been through so many things that other people don't have to go through. Sometimes I just hate it that I am an international student, I have to always follow the rules set out by the immigration. Sianz. I can't wait to graduate and have a proper job. At least I don't mind looking at my boss's face coz I am getting paid! University is the worst, you paid so much money in one unit, but in the end you still have to look at their fucking faces!
